High School Hoops...
So here it is... divisional playoff time for yet another season on the hardwood in high school! So here's how I see it going down people...
Lanier is loaded, and they'll be the team to take on in 4A ball once again if you want to win a title! I like Callaway a lot, they're young and play with no fear. You're right, Provine is solid and coach Luther Riley may just repeat with the Rams... and I love what Wingfield has as far as talent and athleticism! If they can just play sound ball, and limit turnovers, they may do damage! And watch out for NW Rankin and Canton, they may just surprise some people!

Just wondering after watching your sports tonight (February 19) why the Vicksburg High School Gators weren't mentioned at all! The Gators won tonight by 30 and will continue in their search for a state championship! Are you aware that VHS beat lanier TWICE this year? In fact, the Gators beat lanier AT lanier! I just thought it odd that lanier was mentioned more than once during the sports segment of the news, even tho they lost! I understand that they've been state champions, but not this year! You have a HUGE following in Vicksburg - we're really glad you are at apt. I hope that in the future ya'll will remember that there is a city to your west on the banks of the mighty Mississippi that has a darn good basketball team! It's really really a shame those kids didn't get mentioned at all. I'm extremely disappointed!
