Since I last blogged... and since Jeff Bower was named Head Coach of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Just so you know... we're planning some new things with our blogs in the New Year, plus a new video blog from Brittany Diehl our new sports reporter, so stay tuned!

When it comes to Bower, hopefully he'll go out on a strong note! Cincinnati is good, but so is USM! For 17 years Bower has patrolled the sidelines for the Golden Eagles, and in those, he has had 15 winning seasons including 14 in a row!

Let's hope the black and gold play hard for their outgoing Coach, and maybe even pull off the upset!

Congrats on a successful career Coach Bower! And good luck to new coach Larry Fedora!
